2014- Simple Beginning
Soap4Life was founded on January 1 to supplement clean water in remote villages by making and donating natural homemade soap produced from locally available ingredients.
Began acquiring equipment and supplies and began making soap for distribution using personal funds.
Researched Soapmaking methods to adapt the complicated directions from YouTube to simple and understandable methods that could be taught to women with various dialects, education levels, languages and limited equipment resources.

March 2014- Conducted first village visitation in Phongsaly Province to ten villages where soap was distributed, proper use of soap taught for hand washing and baby washing. Selected ten women to come to VTE for soapmaker training.
April 2014- Conducted first Village Women’s Soapmaker Training Workshop in VTE. Funded by personal funds and donations.
June 2014- Village visitation funded by Helvetas International to fourteen villages in Nonghet District, Xiengkhaung Province. Donation of 2,500 bars of soap and soapmaking demonstrations to 250+ villagers.
