Executive DirectorMac Maness
Upon arriving in Lao in 2010, Mac began working with an NGO directing the manufacturing and installation of ceramic water filters in poor remote villages. It was learned that the water was being reinfected with deadly bacteria because the villagers did not have access to good affordable soap products. So in January 2014, Mac and La established Soap4Life to make and distribute clean healthy soap to the poor remote villages. The project has evolved into the formation of Soap4Life Foundation as a registered NGO and has delivered soapmaker training to hundreds of village women. The focus is on training the village women to make and sell their healthy handmade soap products. The project also includes the branding and marketing chain that is supported by "grassroots" donors and contract work with NGOs whose focus is also on Children's Health, Vocational training for Women and Women's Empowerment. |
